Radisson Blu Hotel, Lucerne

Radisson Blu Hotel in Lucerne is located in the very convenient location of being very close to the Lucerene Train Station (Lucerne Bahnhof) only a 5 minutes walk. The hotel offers amazing lake and mountain views. A free night redemption at this hotel costs 50,000 Club Carlson points a night. I would consider this hotel one of the better top tier redemption’s in the Club Carlson program.
Check-in was quick and we were upgraded to a lake-view room.
The lobby looked very chic, a bit different than the Radisson Blu hotels we stayed in Paris as well as Amsterdam.
The rooms we had were 2 twins in both rooms, both with lake-view. Welcome amenity included a box of chocolates and 1 bottle of water (stingy !!)
Bathroom was very elegant with chocolate colored tiled walls.
There is a terrace for dining and lounging outside but it was raining the whole time we were there and didn’t see anyone using it.

- Good location. Only 5 minutes walk from the Lucerne train station.
- Well maintained property. Rooms are clean, with modern furnishings.
- Hotel offers great views of Lake Lucerne.
- There are a few dining options along the walk from the hotel to the train station (along with a few at the train station).
Thumbs down:
- Not directly in Old Town Lucerne.
- Expensive breakfast and in-house restaurant dining.
