MilesPointsTravel Disclaimer: This review is solely the work of Karen. I personally did not fly this segment.

Asiana Airlines operates both an Airbus 380 (morning flight) as well as a Boeing 777-200LR (midnight flight) on the Los Angeles – Seoul route. Both the flights currently carry their Quadra Smartium seats with 1-2-1 seat configuration with direct aisle access for all seats.

I have flown business class on a few airlines so far but I must say that these business class seats on Asiana take the cake. The business class seats feel more first class with the privacy and secluded feeling that goes with it. The privacy divider beside the headrest give you so much privacy that you do not feel the presence of other passengers in the cabin.

After serving pre-departure beverages, the flight attendant handed over the amenity kit and menu.

Dining Menu

Meal service began soon after takeoff.

Appetizer: Marinated Shrimp with Honey Mustard dressing

Both the appetizer and main course were beautifully presented and were quite tasty. It tasted fresh, light with very lean chicken unlike my previous flight on Asiana couple of years back.

Dessert: Cheese Plate
Dessert: Chocolate Mousse

After dinner, I laid out the seat in bed mode and went to sleep. Sorry I forgot to take any pictures but suffice to say it was very cozy and comfortable. For pictures, here is a post of my hubby on the same aircraft flying Seoul to San Francisco.

Breakfast service began about 2 hours from landing in Seoul. I went with fruit plate along with French toast with Banana Cream, bacon and sausage.

Bottomline:

Seat: *****

Service: ****

Food: ****

The seat is fabulous. One of the best business class seats I have traveled in so far. Besides having direct aisle access, the feeling of privacy in this seat is the most notable feature.

The service was very good. Unlike the past few times, did not face any language issues this time around.

Food has been a hit and miss in my previous flights on Asiana. This time around, happy to say it was all good.
