Park Plaza Sukhumvit Bangkok is one of 4 Carlson Rezidor Hotel properties in the Sukhumvit area of Bangkok. It is located in the heart of Bangkok right next to BTS Asoke station as well as Sukhumvit MRT station. Because of its accessibility to both BTS and MRT lines right next door, this hotel can be an ideal base for exploring the city. A cab ride from Suvarnabhumi International airport and Don Meuang International airport takes around 40 mins – 60 mins in each case depending on traffic. A complimentary night at this hotel requires 28,000 Club Carlson points.
On check-in, the front desk agent recognized my Club Carlson Gold status and upgraded me to a next category room.
I really liked that the flooring in the room was laminate-wood and no carpet. Also the bed was very comfortable.
I did not try any restaurants at the hotel as the Terminal 21 shopping mall is close by (5 minutes walk) which has its own food court and a variety of restaurants. You can also exchange currency at the mall as well as a few other establishments in the neighbourhood which give much better exchange rate than the airport.

- Excellent location in Sukumvit area of Bangkok at the interchange of both BTS and MRT lines which gives great access to rest of the city
- Lots of dining options nearby including the Terminal 21 mall with its food court and various restaurant options
- Good sized King room with nice city view

- Overpriced for 28,000 Club Carlson points/night for a free night. Better to book in cash as rates can be as low as 55$-65$ USD per night
