Aloft Munich is a SPG Category 4 property located right next to the Munich Main Train Station (Munich Hauptbahnhof). This makes this hotel a perfect location for a few days trip in Munich as you can access the S-Bahn and U-Bahn as well as regional trains for other cities in Europe. If you are landing in Munich International Airport, 2 S-Bahn lines (S1 and S8) service this train station from Munich International Airport. A free night at this hotel costs 10,000 SPG points or 5,000 SPG points + $75 USD (with SPG Cash + Points rate).
The bed was very comfortable and I had a great night sleep for both the nights we were there.
The room had usb and ipod charging adapters in the room which helped us a lot as we were running low on Europe plug adapters.
During check-in the front desk agent offered points or free drink as welcome amenity (for SPG Gold) and me and my wife both chose free drink for both our rooms. A lot of hotels restrict using the free drink voucher to only a specific type of wine or soda or beer. The bartender at the W Xyz bar where we concocted for Karen a really yummy mixed drink (something with lemon, cheese cake and vodka)

- Location, Location, Location !! Only few steps away from Munich Central Station (Munich Hauptbahnhof) which makes connecting to all of Munich sightseeing (as well as other parts of Bavaria) super convenient with easy access to S-Bahn, U-Bahn and Regional trains
- Lots of dining options nearby especially due to its location being right beside Hauptbahnhof
