We woke up early and Karen decided to make some freshly brewed coffee using the french press in the room.

Fresh brewed coffee in the morning

The resort is pretty expensive when it comes to food. We brought some breakfast snacks like cake, dry indian sweets, chips, crackers for breakfast supplies for the 4 days we were here. We only ate at the restaurants for lunch and dinner.

Some cheap breakfast. All to save 23$/person at the cafe!!

After breakfast we decided to walk some more around the island.

Lots of trees around the island
Rocky beach by the right side of the island
Cocoa Resort in the distance
In front of the arrival jetty
Swimming area at the front of the island
Same spot, different color of the ocean. Amazing.
Wanna guess what that black area in the water is? Yup. Fish
Fine white sand. Just like some of the Caribbean beaches.
Some more posing in front of the secondary jetty
Time to relax in the cabana

After walking and taking lots of pictures for about 2 hours we decided to go to the poolside.

Karen had signed up for a complimentary basic snorkeling class. There were mostly kids and a few adults in the class. They give you all the gear and the class runs for about an hour.

Next up was lunch at the Bokkuraa Club.

Pricey lunch menu

Karen had a Salmon sandwich and I had the seafood pizza. Karen found the salmon sandwich to be too moist with almost under-cooked salmon. My seafood pizza had salmon and clams on it which included similar under-cooked salmon.

After a pretty forgettable meal, it was time to head back to the beach.

The water is warm and clear
Life is good 🙂
Don’t you wish you were here?

Every weekend the resort arranges a band to play in an open air concert by the beach. There was this Indian band of 4 guys (cant remember the band name) which played for about 3 hours. It was a full moon night and being there on the beach while the music was playing was just out of this world. Where else would I get the opportunity to listen to Bob Marley’s “I shot the sheriff”  while sitting on a beanbag on the beach on a full moon night.

After the concert, we called it a night. Since the concert ran a bit late, we decided to call in room service and ordered some Hawaiian pizza (pineapple and chicken toppings).
