Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa

Hilton Luxor is a category 4 Hilton property located on the banks of River Nile in the town of Karnak. It is located only 10 km away from the Luxor International airport and only a few minutes drive from the Karnak Temple. The hotel provides complimentary airport transfer shuttle for elite Hilton HHonors members. The hotel also has a shuttle that transports guests along the East Bank all the way up to Luxor Temple 6 times a day. A reward night at this property costs only 30,000 points.
After exiting the Luxor airport, we were met by our shuttle driver and concierge. They took us to the shuttle van and after a short 10 minute drive we were at the hotel. Check-in was very quick and the front desk agent gave a detailed explanation of the amenities and services on the property. Both of our rooms were upgraded from King Hilton/Twin Hilton to King Deluxe/Twin Deluxe with balcony and Nile Views.
The best feature of our room was definitely the patio overlooking the River Nile. We really enjoyed sitting on the patio in the afternoon while resting between sightseeing trips.
This hotel is one of the best (if not the best) property in the Hilton portfolio. The grounds are extremely well maintained and every single employee we came in contact was very courteous, efficient and helpful.
Our complimentary breakfast was served at the Rosetta Restaurant. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of breads, cereals, juice, cold meat as well as a few selection of hot dishes (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian). There is also an omelette station where you can have eggs cooked to your specifications.
I had requested from the front desk a cake for Karen’s birthday which happened to occur during our stay in Luxor. The front desk arranged some decoration in our room during the day and a delicious cake in the evening.
After a wonderful and memorable 3 night stay at this property we checked out very early in the morning for our flight out of Luxor at 7 AM. The front desk had already arranged a very elaborate take-out breakfast bag for the airport.
Another notable mention goes to the excellent Concierge desk. They have very competitive prices for sightseeing trips to West Bank if you arrange it through the hotel, which we decided to use rather than going on our own.
