This five star hotel is located right beside the Ampang Park Light Rail Transit (LRT) station on Kelana Jaya Line. This hotel is a very good option for those wanting to walk to the Petronas Towers as its only a 10 minutes walking distance away from the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC).
When checking in, the IHG Guest services agent offered to upgrade us to an Executive Lounge floor at a steep cost (if my memory serves me right, it was something like $80 USD per room) which we declined.
The room was very spacious with a large king bed, sofa, and desk area. The TV was huge and the bed was very comfortable.
The bathroom featured both a stand-in shower as well as a bathtub.
As a welcome amenity for IHG Platinum members, all the guests (2 rooms, 4 guests total) were given a welcome drink voucher redeemable at the lobby bar. The welcome drink is based off of a set menu, compared to many other hotels that give you the option to make your selection from the entire drink menu. The only options for the welcome drink were soda, house beer, red wine and fruit juice (No cocktails!!).
The business center was located down the hall from the lobby. When I went there to check it out, I was informed that the use of internet was not complimentary! However, if someone needed to print out their boarding pass they could request the concierge desk to do it for free there.

- Excellent location being next to the Ampang park metro station and within walking distance (10 minutes) of Petronas Twin towers
- Lots of dining & shopping options nearby – Ampang Park shopping mall across the street, KLCC within 10 minutes walking distance
