Dining Menu
Breakfast – Fruit Plate, Strawberry Banana Smoothie
Breakfast – Black truffle omelette, veal chipolata, parsley potatoes

The veal chipolata was really tasty and did not taste anything like sausages I have had before.

After breakfast, I ended up watching a couple of movies as it was a morning flight and did not feel the need to sleep. After the movies I ended up sleeping for about 6 hours. The seat slides into bed via seat control and does not need attendant, though it was very comfortable (sorry, no pictures!!).

About 2 hours before arrival in Hong Kong, the FA’s served dinner.

Dinner Appetizer – Marinated Prawns, ricotta salata, garlic bread
Dinner Entree – Beef Tenderloin in Truffle Hollandaise, Roasted fingerling potatoes
Dessert – Cheese Plate
Dessert – Apricot compote, Orange cream and butter crumble

Every single item in the dinner menu ended up being very tasty. Special mention goes to the beef tenderloin which tend to be a hit or miss on most airlines.

Bottomline:

Seat: *****

Service: ****

Food: ****

The seat is very comfortable and my favorite type of business class seat being that all seats have direct aisle access. The blankets were of good quality and I had a pretty good sleep when the seat is laid out in bed mode. The only thing I would change about this flight would be to book in the smaller business class section up front (2 rows) compared to the rear business class section (12 rows).

The service was pretty good and unlike some other asian carriers there was no language issue with any of the flight attendants on this flight.

The food was pretty good. The veal chipolata for breakfast was very delicious as was the pan seared beef tenderloin for dinner.
