Ventura Beach Marriott

It is a Category-5 property located in the city of Ventura Beach about 200 yards from the San Buenaventura State Beach. The property looks very well maintained.
It has a very nice courtyard in the middle with lots of plants and a nice waterfall. It looks like they imported an oasis in there. The courtyard also features a smallish size heated swimming pool (open till 10 pm) and a Jacuzzi.
The back lobby looks pretty swanky. The business center is right next to the check-in area with 3 computers.
It has a restaurant and bar that is open till 10 pm. The room service prices seemed a little high to me but might be standard for the location and category of hotel.
The room was clean, showing no signs of aging and was decent size. The bathroom however seemed a bit small. I didn’t like the mattress but as always I liked the Marriott comforters. One of these days I am gonna buy one of them from their website (looks a bit out of my price range but oh well !!)

- Excellent location. 5 minutes walk to the beach.
- Heated swimming pool.
- Very nice courtyard with lots of plants, trees and waterfall. A perfect place to host parties or weddings.

- $13/night for parking.
- No refrigerator in the room.
