Courtyard Portland Airport

This Marriott Rewards Category 3 hotel is located only about 5 minutes drive (3 miles) from the Portland International Airport. The property provides complimentary shuttle between the hotel and the airport.
We arrived at the hotel in the evening and check-in was speedy. The front desk had only one staff (probably being the weekend and hotel having low occupancy). We were offered complimentary late checkout although we declined because we were leaving early next day for some sight-seeing.
The room was fairly standard size and looked newly renovated. Everything looked fresh and clean including the carpet. The mattress felt comfortable for sleeping but while sitting at the edge of the bed it felt uncomfortable.
The hotel offers complimentary wifi but the connection was really slow in the room. Also there was no mini fridge or microwave in the room. When we travel, we usually go to an off-property restaurant and bring food back for lunch the next day. Without a mini-fridge or a microwave, that option is not feasible.
The bathroom felt smaller than usual. There were enough towels provided and water pressure was great.
Next to the lobby was the Courtyard House restaurant, The Bistro. Like other Courtyard’s, it served mostly soups & salads, sandwiches and pizza. The prices seemed reasonable considering the location.
