Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites San Diego Otay Mesa

This hotel is located at the last US exit on the 905 freeway on the way to Tijuana, Mexico. Me and Karen have stayed there a couple of times when we were doing a mattress-run for the “Big Win” promotion as well as when we were in San Diego to watch Whitney Cummings on her comedy tour.
This is one of the very few hotels where they actually call you a few days before your stay to ask if you have any special requests. All I wanted was a suite with a fridge and microwave !!
Check-in was quick and we were offered the customary chips and water for platinum status. We were also upgraded to a King Suite as we had requested earlier.
The business center only had a computer and a printer.
Being a Holiday Inn Express, all guests get a complimentary breakfast. It was nothing to write home about with the usual eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, juice, bread, yogurt and fruits.
