Hilton Curacao Resort
John F Kennedy Boulevard, Willemstad, 2133 Curaçao, Netherlands Antilles
Hilton Curacao Resort is a Category 5 Hilton property located in Piscadera Bay, about 10 km away from Curacao International Airport. A free night at this property using Hilton HHonors points costs between 30,000 – 40,000 points per night.
We arrived at the resort around 1 PM. Check-in was quick and the front desk agent upgraded us to an Executive Floor room facing the parking lot. He indicated that the North Sea Jazz festival was going on during our stay and our room would have a clear line of sight to the stadium and we would be able to listen to the artists right from our balcony !!
The room had a mini-fridge which was really helpful for storing left-overs and some sandwich supplies that we bought from nearby Centrum Supermarket.
The balcony had an oceanview. However, the biggest draw was that we could see one of the arenas where the North Sea Jazz festival was going on and on our second night, we were able to hear Enrique Iglesias.
The resort has 2 main pools and a small children’s pool.
The outdoor cafe also hosts the Internet Center with 2 computers and a printer.
The Executive Lounge stayed open from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Our favorite thing was to enjoy our breakfast in the lounge while enjoying the amazing views.
One thing that must be mentioned is the wonderful Executive Lounge staff. They were very nice, caring and genuinely helpful. When we would go there for breakfast, they would always inquire about our plans and would give us helpful tips on enjoying the island. It was from the staff, we found out about Plaza Bieu, where we ended up enjoying a delicious lunch among the locals.
We also would spend an hour in the lounge during the Happy Hour (5:00 PM – 7:00 PM). There would be some finger food items and sweet pastries.
The resort has its own private beach. Although the beach is not large by any means, it was still pretty.
