Niranta Airport Transit Hotel & Lounge (Landside)

Niranta Airport Transit Hotel is located at Terminal 2 of Mumbai International Airport in the airport premises. There are actually 2 hotels here and its important to know the distinction so as not to make a mistake during booking. The “Landside” or “Arrivals” hotel is before immigration procedures where as the “Airside” hotel is after immigration. If you are checking-in in Mumbai then remember that regardless of for how long you make the booking, you are not allowed to check-in till 4 hours before departure. Also a flight departing or arriving in Mumbai is required to stay at the hotel and you will be asked to show proof of flight. Overall, it is an excellent option for travelers who are arriving late in the evening or departing early morning and just need a comfortable bed without the hassle of any transportation.
After arriving at the Mumbai International Airport Terminal 2, we walked over to the hotel. Check-in was fairly easy after a thorough security check at the entrance to the hotel. The hotel does provide 15 minute complimentary foot massage which I enjoyed very much.

- Dining options at the hotel is pretty expensive compared to just walking 5 minutes to Airport Arrivals area with lots of reasonably priced dining options
