Holiday Inn Resort Dead Sea is one of the 2 IHG properties (the other being Crowne Plaza Jordan – Dead Sea Resort) located in Dead Sea, Jordan. A free night at this hotel costs 20,000 IHG points although we booked cash rate at around 60 JOD(about 90 USD)/night.
Check-in was fairly quick and efficient. There is a dedicated check-in desk for elite members. After finding out that Karen is Platinum Elite, the front desk upgraded one room to Seaview King Suite while the other with poolview (partial Seaview). We also were told repeatedly that the mini-bar in the room is complimentary and can be restocked just by calling front desk!!
One comment about the beach is that its very rocky and if I had known earlier would be bringing in water shoes. The beach had showers and Dead Sea Mud for the full Dead Sea experience.
We had dinner at Below 393 Restaurant and lunch at The Lounge next day. Dining options were pretty limited at this resort as only 3 restaurants were operating at the time and 1 of them had Buffet options only.
