Earl’s Regent Hotel, Kandy

Earl’s Regent Hotel is located by Mahaweli river in the outskirts of city of Kandy. Located away from the hustle and bustle of Kandy, this hotel is ideal for tourists seeking calm and quiet surroundings with great views.
Check-in was fairly quick and I was glad to find out that the hotel provided complimentary accommodation for drivers.
I had booked half-board rate (includes dinner & breakfast). However, we arrived late afternoon and were hungry so went for lunch at the on-property restaurant named The Flavors. The pricing was reasonable and food fairly tasty.
We also ended up having dinner that night and breakfast the following day at the same restaurant. Although there was a large selection for dinner and breakfast buffet, I felt a huge part of the menu was Indian (not a huge variety of other cuisines).

- Complimentary accommodation for chauffeurs
- Huge selection for breakfast and dinner

- Although breakfast and dinner had huge selection, a large part of the menu was specifically catered to Indians
- Little bit away from most tourist attractions so having a car is a must
