MilesPointsTravel Disclaimer: This review is solely the work of Karen. I personally did not fly this specific flight.

Korean Air operates various aircraft types (with different configurations) between Bangkok and Seoul including Airbus 330, Airbus 380, Boeing 777-300. I ended up on a Boeing 777-300 with 2 x 3 x 2 seating in Business Class. This type of seating is terrible if you are unlucky to be seated in the middle row. Luckily I had snagged an aisle seat.

My Seat – 11 H (Aisle)
My Seat – 11 H (Aisle)
I usually prefer seats with footwell which is absent here

One thing that stood out was the excellent legroom in the business class cabin.

Great legroom
Korean Air BKK – ICN Business Class Dining Menu
Appetizers – Smoked Salmon Roll (Left), Marinated Artichoke with Shrimp salad with tomato and orange basil soup (right)
Lunch Entrée – Grilled Beef Tenderloin with balsamic brown sauce with asparagus, potato and other vegetables
Dessert – Fruit Plate / Haagen-Dazs

Bottomline:

Seat: **1/2

Service: ***

Food: ***

A 2 x 3 x 2 is completely outdated in Business class. Pity the person who gets the middle row. The seat padding is good but the lack of footwell and the fact that the seat is not completely flat (even though seatguru marks it as such) does not make for a sound sleep on long flights. For a 6 hour flight, its good enough.

The service and food were average. Nothing really sticks out of mind.
