Day 1:
Our day started with traveling 4.5 hours on Kapetan Luka – Krilo ferry from Split to Dubrovnik. We arrived past noon in Dubrovnik port and took an Uber to our hotel (Hotel Kompas Dubrovnik).
For lunch we wanted to try out the Cave Bar More that I had read about. Its a short walk from the hotel on Lapad promenade (also called Šetalište Nika i Meda Pucića).
For lunch we ordered a hamburger, truffle fries and mixed cocktail. The truffle fries were so awesome that I visited this bar again on Day 3 to try it out one more time.
After lunch we walked on the walkway on the other side of Lapad beach.
In the evening, we dined at the Sphere restaurant at our hotel. We ordered lobster soup, egg-rolls and a delicious sea bass.
Day 2:
After breakfast at the hotel, we took an Uber to Dubrovnik Old Town for our highlight of the visit – Dubrovnik City Walls. We had already purchased online the Dubrovnik pass (which costs the same as the entry fee so pays for itself). After a steep and never-ending series of stairs we started our City Wall Tour. I had read online that it gets very hot in summer and so this attraction must be visited either at the beginning or the end of the day and I whole heartedly attest to that.
The city wall tour can only be walked in one direction (no backtracking) and it took about 4 hours for us to complete it.
After walking the city wall for 4 hours and then the Old Town, we decided to sit down and catch a breath (and some drink) at the Buza Bar. The view is amazing and that drives up the price of drinks here!!
By this time we were tired and it was unexpectedly hot. We took an Uber back to hotel and went out and had a light lunch.
After lunch we spent a couple of hours at the hotel pool and a nap by the pool.
We ate dinner for the second night also at the Sphere restaurant of our hotel.
Day 3:
This was our last day in Dubrovnik and we were leaving for airport early afternoon. To make the best of the time we had here, we took the scenic walk along Lapad promenade again but went further than last time. The sun was out and views were incredible.
I wanted to try the truffle fries again at the Cave Bar More before we left and followed with some gelato.
Soon it was time to check out and head to the airport for our flight to Warsaw.
