This was our last full day of traveling in Iceland and we were traveling from Skogafoss to our hotel near Keflavik airport to fly out next day.
We were staying at Hotel Skogafoss by EJ Hotels and one of the main reasons of staying here was so we could see the falls on the night we arrive and the day after. We started the day early visiting the falls right after breakfast at the hotel.
We were glad we got waterproof shoes to walk on the rocks to get to the middle to take the pictures.
After Skogafoss we drove 5 minutes to the parking lot of Kvernufoss falls. We walked for 10 minutes along one of the most beautiful trails to get to the falls.
I took the trail in order to go behind the waterfalls. It didn’t have spray mist unlike Seljalandsfoss falls that we saw on Day 3.
After spending an hour at Kvernufoss falls we proceeded to drive to our last waterfall of the Iceland trip, Irafoss falls.
When we arrived at the falls, we were the only people there!!
After spending some time at Irafoss, we continued our drive westwards towards Reykjavik. We had planned on a food tour in the city but it started raining very strongly. We scrapped our plans for the food tour and proceeded to our hotel (Courtyard Keflavik Airport). We had dinner at the on-property Langbest Restaurant.
This concluded our Iceland trip and we flew out early next morning.
