Flight: Starlux Airlines JX 9 from Ontario to Taipei
Duration: 12 hours 45 minutes
Aircraft: A359 (Airbus 350-900)
Class: Business
Seat: 7A(Window)
Seat Specification: True Flat Bed, Suites. Seat width: 19.6″, Bed length: 6’7″
This was my 3rd time flying Starlux Airlines Business class on the A350-900. The business class features 7 rows of 1-2-1 reverse herringbone suites with closed doors . The first row is more spacious with higher doors and is marketed as first class even though its in business class cabin.
After dinner the flight attendant put a mattress pad on my seat and I went to sleep for a good 8 hours.
Pre-arrival meal service begins a couple of hours before landing. The poached halibut was the biggest letdown of this flight. Maybe its the bland taste of halibut or the cold nature of the item, it was just very sub par.
The beef and vegetables burrito was excellent. It was one of the best burritos I’ve ever had.
Bottomline:
Seat: *****
Service: ****
Food: *** 1/2
I love the business class suites on Starlux A350-900 aircraft. There is ample space along with privacy doors that gives utmost privacy. Almost every single item of both meals (except the poached halibut) on this flight was really good. The highlight was the super delicious breakfast burrito. I know it doesn’t look like much on the pictures but it was one of the best burritos I’ve ever had. Starlux undoubtedly is the top 2 business class product for me amongst 29 distinct airlines business class I have experienced so far.
