I had booked a resort view room with Hilton HHonors points and the front desk upgraded us to the Rainbow Tower Ocean-view room. This is an excellent hotel choice for sightseeing in New York as many of the attractions (Top of the Rock, Empire State Building, Circle Line Sightseeing Cruise, Central Park) are all within walking distance and avoid need for a cab.
