Hotel Nikko Kansai Airport is located just outside the airport terminal, connected with an over-bridge. For travelers arriving at this airport in late night flights or departing early morning flights, it is an excellent option for a one night stay.
We arrived from our Tokyo Haneda flight around 10 pm and walked across the terminal and bridge to the hotel building.
The reception is downstairs while the terminal level has a few dining establishments along with a grocery store.
Check-in was quick and we made our way to the room.
The room is fairly small but good enough for a one night stay.
The bed was too soft for my liking and the mattress felt sagging when you lay on it.
Since it was late night most restaurants on the food court floor in the hotel building were closed and we had to settle for Burger King which was the only place open.
Thumbs up:
- Excellent option for staying 1 night at the airport for passengers on late arriving or early departing flights
- A few dining options in the same building next to the airport
Thumbs down:
- Not a good option for sightseeing as it does not make sense to travel daily to Osaka or Kyoto.
