Crowne Plaza Dulles Airport

This IHG hotel is located only 3 miles from Dulles International Airport and provides 24-hour complimentary shuttle. It is located next to a big shopping area with movie theater and plenty of restaurants like Qdoba, TGIFridays and other dining options like Indian, Mediterranean, Mexican, Chinese, Thai etc. Marriot Suites is just opposite of this hotel.
Checkin was quick and the front desk agent informed us that both of our rooms were upgraded to Club level floor. We have never stayed at these Club levels in any chains before and so naturally we were excited.
The room is decent sized. The carpeting looked a bit dirty and wish they would change it soon.
The executive lounge was spacious. However, I was disappointed that there wasn’t much to snack on – only chips and water. We were leaving early next day but luckily the free breakfast buffet (for executive floor residents) starts at 6:30 so we got some bagels. yogurt and chips to go.
The hotel has a large indoor swimming pool and is only open when a lifeguard is on duty!! Can’t believe how boring that job would be – being a lifeguard at the pool in a business hotel.
The business center had multiple computers and printers. There were a lot of ballrooms and meeting-rooms on the ground floor.

- Upgrades to Platinum members likely. Both me and my wife were upgraded to Club Level rooms.
- Lots of dining options within walking distance – Chinese, Indian, Italian, Mediterranean, Mexican etc. Some of them also do delivery.
- Room equipped with oven, microwave.
- Free wifi.
Thumbs down:
- No complimentary breakfast (except for club level members obviously).
- About 30 minutes drive from DC sightseeing locations.
