Radisson Suites Bangkok Sukhumvit
23/2-3 Sukhumvit 13, Sukhumvit Road, Klongtoey Nua, Wattana, Bangkok 10110

This is a Category 3 property (28,000 points for a reward night) of the Club Carlson program located on Soi 13 just off of Sukhumvit road in Bangkok. It is within walking distance to two train stations (BTS Asoke and BTS Nana) but the hotel also provides complimentary tuktuk service to both stations as well as the nearest MRT station.

Arrived at the hotel really early at 7 AM and requested early check-in but was told to wait till 11 am. I was dismayed to see only a few uncomfortable chairs to wait for 4 hours to get my keys.

Only place to sit in the lobby

There are 2 restaurants on this property – Mauve and Aroma as well as a lounge bar called asqu. Mauve features Thai, Indian as well as Western dishes.

I also spent some time at the business center while waiting for the room keys. There were only 2 computers at the center and one of them seemed broken !!

I did not spend any time at the rooftop swimming pool during the day.

I had booked a studio king room and the room size is standard. The mattress was really good and I had a great sleep.

I liked the bathroom. Water pressure was really good in the shower. The soap-shampoo-conditioner were generic though.

Thumbs up:

  • Location !! On Soi 13 off of Sukhumvit road. Close to 2 BTS stations as well as the Terminal 21 mall.
  • Lots of dining options nearby. While walking from the hotel to the main Sukhumvit road you can find a lot of Indian and Thai restaurants and if you go to Terminal 21 which is next to BTS Asoke, there is a giant food court on the 5th floor.
  • Free shuttle (tuktuk) from the hotel to BTS stations and Terminal 21. I would consider staying at this hotel again just for this feature.
  • Prices very reasonable for Bangkok for equivalent tier of hotel.

Thumbs down:

  • Wifi service is atrocious in the room, especially for making internet based phone calls. I had to come downstairs near the front desk to get a strong enough signal to make calls.
