Radisson Blu Hotel, Amsterdam is located in the heart of Amsterdam, only about 15 minutes walk from Amsterdam Centraal Station and about 5 minutes walk from the “infamous” (Red Light District) from De Wallen neighbourhood. It is also within close walking distance from other tourist attractions of Amsterdam, namely Dam Square (650 m), Bloemenmarket (650 m), Anne Frank House (1.4 km), Jordaan neighbourhood (1.7 km), Rijkmuseum (1.5 km). A free night at this property costs 50,000 Club Carlson points. In my opinion, it is an excellent redemption option for Club Carlson points in Europe.
Check-in was quick. We got upgraded to Business Class room which is eligible for free breakfast but this hotel explicitly forbids free breakfast if its a complimentary upgrade. Bummer !!
There are rooms on both side of the street and to get to the other side of the street, you go underground level and cross the street and use the elevator on the other side to get to the rooms.
The room was very modern with elegant furnishings. The bed very comfortable and the pillows and comforters very plush.
The shower area is pretty large compared to the other hotels in Europe we stayed in. Water pressure really good and toiletry supplies were adequate.
The “Business Center” consisted of just 2 computers and a printer which was right next to the front lobby.

- Location, Location, Location !! In the heart of Amsterdam, within walking distance to plenty of sightseeing attractions like Dam Square, Anne Frank House, Jordaan, Rijkmuseum and the Red Light District.
- Lots of dining options within close walking distance.
- Well maintained property. Rooms are clean, elegantly furnished, very well maintained.

- Breakfast complimentary only if you pay for the Business class rooms and not if complimentary upgrades.
