Park Plaza Beijing Wangfujing, a property of Carlson Rezidor Hotel group is located close to the Wangfujing shopping area of Beijing. The hotel has two subway stations within close walking distance – Dongsi subway station and Dengshikou subway station. The Dengshikou subway station entrance by the Regent Hotel (next to Park Plaza) is only a few steps away and gives access to most of tourist attractions in Beijing.
A free night at the Park Plaza Wangfujing costs 44,000 Club Carlson points. Since I considered this price to be too steep considering the cost of cash booking at this same hotel, I used my 2 e-certificates that I had saved up for the trip for one of the rooms and paid cash for the other room.
Check-in was quick and efficient. One of our two rooms was upgraded to avail the complimentary breakfast at the Bloo Restaurant (on-property). There is also a Starbucks next door for some morning snacks if you decide to forego the breakfast at the hotel. The nearest McDonalds is a good 10 minute walk from the hotel.
There is no separate walk-in shower in bathroom although you can take shower in the bathtub.
The Bloo Restaurant offers a decent spread at the breakfast Buffet. There is both Chinese and Western selections available during breakfast.

- The hotel charges 44,000 Club Carlson points for 1 free night. In my opinion, the points charged is too steep considering the cash price you can pay for this property at the hotel website or third party booking websites
