For these long haul transcontinental flights, I was happy just to get flat beds even though in a different setting I would have preferred direct aisle access for all seats.

Bottomline:

Seat: ****

Service: ****

Food: ****

These lie flat seats were perfect for a 5 hour cross country flight from JFK to LAX. Besides I was flying with my wife and did not mind not having aisle access.

The food was flavorful and filling. I liked my salmon and Karen liked her Quesadilla too.

Lastly the service was pretty good. I know US carriers get a bad rap from time to time but the crew on this flight was courteous and helpful.
