MilesPointsTravel DisclaimerThis review is solely the work of Karen. I personally did not fly this segment.

It was exciting as always to ride an A380 business class, this time with Asiana. When I flew Asiana business class last time, it was on a Boeing 777-200 LR. The seat configuration is the same in both the aircrafts with 1-2-1 with direct aisle access for all seats. I had pre-selected row 21 K. One thing to remember is that the window seats alternate between you sitting next to aisle or next to window so its important to select seats based on that. In the forward business cabin, the even number rows are better as the window seats provide more privacy. In the rear business cabin, the odd numbered row seats provide better privacy.

I declined both pre-flight and post-flight champagne as it was late. Dinner service started soon after takeoff.

Appetizer – Seared Salmon
Dinner Entree – Fish and Mashed Potatoes
Dessert – Berry Mousse

After dinner, I laid out the seat in bed mode and ended up sleeping over 8 hours (sorry no pictures of the seat in bed mode). About 2 hours before landing, the flight attendant woke me up for breakfast.

Breakfast – Fresh Fruit & Yogurt
Breakfast – Pancakes

Bottomline:

Seat: *****

Service: ***

Food: ***

My seat 21K was really private and you cannot see other passengers unless you lean forward and try hard to see someone. For a 10+ hour flight, for a bare minimum you want a full lie flat bed as well as direct aisle access these days. This seat passed both these requirements.

The service was ok, nothing memorable nor anything terrible.

The dessert was delicious and the rest of it was fine.
