Korean Air flies both A380 as well as Boeing 777-300 widebody on Bangkok – Seoul route. This was my first time flying Korean Air Business and over 2 segments I got to try business class on both type of aircraft.  The flight form Bangkok – Seoul was on a Boeing 777-300ER with 2 x 2 x 2 configuration for a total of 56 Business class flat bed seats.

Bottomline:

Seat: ***

Service: ***

Food: ***

Korean Air advertises these seats as flat-bed seats but they are still at an angle. It was not terribly uncomfortable for a 5 hour flight but I would not be very happy with these if on long-haul flights. Also with rest of the industry having moved to 1-2-1 configuration, these 2-2-2 are not that competitive any more.

The service was ok, nothing remarkable.

The dining menu was a huge disappointment. What is the logic of 2 beef options out of 3 entree choices? One of these days I am going to try the Korean bibimbap but on this flight went with the good ole cod.
