DoubleTree by Hilton Seychelles – Allamanda Resort and Spa
South Coast Road Anse Forbans Mahé, Seychelles

DoubleTree Hilton Seychelles is located about 15km from Seychelles International Airport in Takamaka area (5km south of Anse Royale Beach). The hotel is located right on the beach with private beachfront. We redeemed 70,000 Hilton Honors/night on a 2 night award stay.

Hotel right on beach

Check-in was smooth and easy and the front desk agent recognized my wife’s Diamond status.

Right after checking in, we freshened up and hit the beach (as it was getting late in evening).

After spending an hour at the beach and rocks nearby, we went back to our room. While passing by the front desk, the agent introduced herself to us again and mentioned that because of our elite status with Hilton, we were entitled to a higher category upgrade but because of some construction issues, they were unable to grant us the upgrade. To make up for that, the agent wanted to stock up our mini-bar with some complimentary items as well as comped us dinner for both nights at the hotel restaurant (Les Palms Restaurant). We were overjoyed because the room we got was already one of the best we had ever stayed in (excellent views from the patio where you can hear loud ocean waves). Just for reference, the paid rate for a buffet dinner at this hotel was around $55 USD/person!!

On our final night after dinner, the chef dropped by our table and presented his gift for us – a decadent chocolate cake and ice-cream. It was delicious (although hard for us to eat as we were already stuffed :))

Day #2, Breakfast @ Les Palms Restaurant

On our last day at the hotel, the same chef dropped by our table and presented us with a tiramisu cake and fresh fruits. I don’t think during all our stays with Hilton over the last decade we had experienced such amazing and gracious hospitality at any hotel.

Day #3, Breakfast @ Les Palms Restaurant

Thumbs up:

  • Excellent location right on the beach with private access.
  • Very responsive Front Desk staff as well as Restaurant Staff. We were recognized for our Diamond status throughout our stay. The comped dinner, drinks, breakfast, and mini-bar along with chef’s special dessert really made us feel special and appreciated. We have been staying at Hilton all over the world over the last decade and I can’t remember any occasion where hotel staff went so much above and beyond to make our stay so memorable.
  • All rooms are ocean-view, close enough that you can hear the waves.

Thumbs down:

  • Nothing we could think of but if I had to nitpick the hotel beach is a bit rocky so might need water shoes if you are wading in the water. However, on an upcoming trip report, I will highlight the perks of the beach at this hotel (marine life).
