For its long-haul routes EVA Air operates its Boeing 777-300 ER with the industry standard 1 x 2 x 1 seat configuration in Business class. The only thing different on this flight was a different color scheme in the cabin (compared to my previous flights on EVA Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft). I have traveled probably the most times in business class on this carrier and one of my favorite ways to cross the pacific.
Since EVA Air allows passengers to pre-select from an expanded list of entrees before the flight, we had already selected ours for this flight.
The smoked salmon as well as the shrimp + crabmeat were absolutely delicious!!
The roasted lamb cutlet was very tasty. The meat was juicy and went well with the sauce.
I went to sleep for about 6 hours and woke up for breakfast service before landing.
The creamy seafood crepe was absolutely delicious although the pictures don’t do it justice!!, This was one of the best airline breakfasts I’ve had.
Bottomline:
Seat: *****
Service: ***
Food: *****
EVA Air has one of my favorite business class seats (except airlines with suites in business class). The cushion is firm, cubby hole is non-restrictive for leg movement. They also have my favorite comforter in business class. 🙂
The food was superb for this flight. The appetizers, soup, entrée all were stellar and hit it out of the park. On top of that, the creamy seafood crepe with pesto dressing was one of the best airline breakfast I’ve had in all my past travels.
