MilesPointsTravel Disclaimer: This review is solely the work of Karen. I personally did not fly this segment.

This was my first time flying United Polaris class although my hubby has done it twice (SFO – FRA and LHR – DEN). I had selected a true window seat with arm-rest facing the aisle. This seat provided a lot of privacy.

Pre-dinner service of Warm Nuts & Drinks
Smoked Duck & Green Salad

The duck was quite tasty and had good smoky flavor. I forgot to take a picture of the entrée (Baby spinach tortelacci with roasted eggplant) which was good enough for a vegetarian dish.

Dessert: Cheesecake

The cheesecake was delicious and made up for the average entrée. After dinner I laid out the bed and went to sleep. The Saks pillow and bedding is pretty good and a highlight of United Polaris.

Flat-bed

Before landing breakfast was served. I had the Banana bread pudding. It was rich and I ended up eating just a portion of it.

Bottomline:

Seat: ****

Service: ***

Food: ***

The Polaris seats in 1 – 2 – 1 provide lots of privacy (especially the window seats) and feel very spacious. The seat cushion is adequate and made for a good night sleep on this TATL flight.

Service on United is always a hit or miss and ended up being ok for this flight. The banana pudding for breakfast was delicious but quite heavy.
